Summary

In July 1979, two witnesses in Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon observed a trapezoidal object in the sky. The object, dark in color, had four front lights and one red light at the back. Initially stationary above the Anse du Savoyard, it then slowly moved eastward. Suddenly it accelerated and ascended vertically before disappearing, without making any noise. There was no aerial activity on the island after 8:00 PM, adding mystery to this unexplained phenomenon.

The description of the object is clear and detailed, but no conventional explanations were found. The absence of noise and other witnesses reinforces the enigmatic nature of the event. This incident, classified as "D" by GEIPAN, remains one of the most intriguing UFO cases in the French region.
