Summary

While crowds watched the Bastille Day fireworks in Toulouse on 14 July 1979, a witness spotted at 22:45 a luminous object crossing the sky from south to north in a straight line at constant speed. It had the shape of a bright disc with a more diffuse tail and produced no sound. The phenomenon lasted 8 to 12 seconds before vanishing. Despite the large number of people present, no other testimonies were recorded, leaving the case without additional confirmation.
