Colour-changing reddish ball over Argenteuil

At around 23:30 on 13 July 1979, several witnesses in Argenteuil saw a football-sized reddish-orange ball moving at high altitude. During the observation the object changed shape and colour, paused briefly and then sped away at impressive speed until it disappeared. The witnesses could not match it to any conventional object. No further testimonies or plausible explanations were obtained, and the case remains unresolved.
