On August 22, 1979, two witnesses in southern Corsica observed a luminous point that caught their attention. Initially stationary about 100-150 meters above a golf course, the object then moved westward while decreasing in intensity. One witness, using binoculars, claimed to have seen two yellow parallelograms. However, no further testimonies were collected. Investigators suggest the shapes could be optical aberrations from the binoculars, especially if of low quality. It is also considered likely that the phenomenon was an airplane illuminated by the sun.
