Red light in the shape of a ball in Lyons la Forêt

Summary

On September 19, 1979, two joggers observed a red light in the shape of a ball that shimmered like a star. Suddenly, the light moved rapidly toward them, without making any noise or causing air movement or heat. The light traced a curve and stopped about 200 meters in front of them, above the forest edge, for 3 to 4 seconds. Inside the light, the witnesses saw a dark mass before the phenomenon suddenly disappeared. There were no further testimonies or evidence, so the case remains unexplained.
