Red object with intermittent glow in Vouillé

Summary

In September 1979, several witnesses in Vouillé, Vienne, saw a red luminous phenomenon moving rapidly from west to east. About 4 metres across, it displayed two red diagonals and emitted a strong intermittent glow accompanied by noise. After turning white, it disappeared behind the hills. Data-poor case: no further testimonies or additional information were obtained.
