Cheteauponsac 1979, Object with lights in a diamond shape

Summary

On November 21, 1979, a witness observed an object about 100 meters away. It had several lights, three red and one orange, arranged in a vertical diamond shape. The orange light rotated clockwise, alternately replacing the red lights. The object was stationary, made no noise, and emitted no particular odor. It eventually disappeared to the north, leaving behind a faint whitish haze. A sheep flock located 600 meters away showed signs of intense alarm. A second witness confirmed seeing red lights in a diamond shape, but no ground traces or additional information were found to explain this phenomenon, which remains unexplained.
