Châteauponsac 1979, diamond-shaped lights and residual mist

Summary

On November 21, 1979, a witness saw a motionless, silent object about a hundred meters away displaying four lights arranged in a vertical diamond: three red and one orange that rotated clockwise, alternately replacing the red ones. It gave off no smell. After some time the object departed northward, leaving a faint whitish mist. Six hundred meters away, a flock of sheep showed signs of great alarm. A second witness confirmed the diamond-shaped lights, but no traces or additional data were found. The phenomenon remains unexplained.
