Summary

Around 6:00 AM on November 26, 1979, a farmer in the Landes region spotted a very bright white light roughly 700–800 meters away. It moved vertically at low altitude — between five and six meters above the ground — revealing a dark spherical shape beneath it. An on-site inspection found no traces or physical evidence. No military exercises were recorded in the area and no other witnesses came forward. Adding to the uncertainty, the photographs taken by the gendarmes are missing from the file. The case remains unexplained.
