On December 2, 1979, around 6:30 PM, a couple in Pithiviers (Loiret) observed eight flying objects the size of an airplane. These emitted a whistling sound and displayed flashing lights in red, green, blue, and yellow colors. The objects moved slowly and were observed for about 20 minutes.
