On December 5, 1979, a witness in the Nièvre region observed an orange-sized ball with orange reflections. The object moved by spinning and alternating between rising and falling, without making any noise. The phenomenon lasted fifteen minutes before the ball vanished quickly toward the southeast. The next day at the same time, the object appeared again, changing size three times before disappearing toward the west. Only one other witness had seen a similar phenomenon a few months earlier, adding a unique touch to this case.
