In January 1980, several witnesses in the Oise region of France observed a luminous phenomenon that caught their attention. A bright sphere appeared stationary in the clear sky before moving slowly and silently toward the southwest. According to witnesses, the object showed variations in color and size, and even appeared to rotate on its axis. The phenomenon was visible from 6:30 PM until 7:30 PM. After an astronomical analysis, it was determined that the object was not a UFO, but the planet Venus, which was particularly bright and visible during that time of year with a magnitude of -3.8. Additionally, the time it disappeared matched exactly when Venus set on the horizon, as reported by the witnesses.
