🇺🇸 CIA
In 1952, the CIA launched a detailed study on UFO phenomena, driven by the need to better understand these events. This project was led by a group of scientists and military personnel, including prominent figures in academic and international circles. The report, considered very thorough, was distributed to the Air Force and focused on analyzing specific cases, such as sightings in the Soviet Union. Although some interesting cases were found, such as sightings in the Caucasus, no definitive conclusions were reached.
Phil Strong, a key figure in this study, noted that intelligence had not developed much from these cases. He also mentioned that it was possible some unidentified objects were advanced Soviet aircraft, although there was no conclusive evidence. The CIA and other agencies were closely following Soviet aeronautical advances, but there was no specific operation focused on UFOs. This study reflected the era's interest in understanding the unknown, although the results remained largely speculative.
