🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
On May 15, 1980, a witness in Seine-Maritime observed a luminous oval-shaped object moving rapidly across the sky. Described as reddish-orange with a visible tail, the object was much brighter than a star. The phenomenon lasted a few minutes before the object disappeared toward the west. No other testimonies or clear explanations were found, though researchers suggest it might have been an atmospheric entry of a meteorite. This case, classified as B by GEIPAN, remains an unsolved mystery.
