Summary

On the night of August 7, 1980, several witnesses in Taverny (Val-d'Oise, France) observed a luminous phenomenon of orange-yellow color passing rapidly over an antenna at the F.N.S military base. The object was moving at high speed and ascending in altitude without producing any noise. Two witnesses saw it on two separate occasions, first at 21:40 and then at 22:45. Despite the clear description of the event, no traces were found on the vegetation and no further testimonies were collected, making it difficult to offer a definitive explanation. The GEIPAN classified the case as "C", indicating no conventional explanation was found.
