In August 1980, several witnesses in Mulhouse observed an elongated aerial object moving across the sky. The object emitted a central light and made sudden directional changes, first heading south and then east. That same night, other witnesses reported similar sightings, suggesting the phenomenon was not isolated. The following day, on August 6, another object was seen heading northeast, although no further testimonies were collected. Despite the observations, no conclusive explanations were found, though it was suggested that the witnesses might have seen an unidentified aircraft due to heavy air traffic in the area.
