In August 1980, two witnesses in Ollioles (France) observed an unusual aerial phenomenon. From their terrace, they saw a black ball moving quickly from west to east. As it passed over their house, the object changed shape and revealed a dozen square windows illuminated from within. Suddenly, a bright light appeared and the object vanished without making any noise. The observation lasted between 20 and 30 seconds, but no other witnesses or additional records were found.
