Summary

In August 1980, two witnesses in Auvers (43) observed a luminous phenomenon that generated both curiosity and fear. Around 10 p.m., they saw an object shaped like a large crescent emitting intense light. Intrigued, they decided to approach in a vehicle, but the object appeared to move quickly and follow their path. Feeling uneasy, the witnesses turned back and returned home. The phenomenon stopped and disappeared without leaving any trace. Although the case was initially classified as "D," it was later reviewed and considered consistent due to the precise description and the witnesses' credibility. However, investigators concluded that the observed phenomenon was likely the setting Moon, which the witnesses did not correctly identify, possibly due to their emotional state.
