In September 1952, three forestry workers observed a flat, round object hovering at about 500 meters altitude. The object, measuring 15 to 20 meters in diameter, remained motionless before suddenly disappearing in a northwesterly direction. The witnesses insisted their report was true, though no one else claimed to have seen it. This case, published in a Norwegian newspaper, was reported to the CIA as unevaluated information.
The document, despite transcription errors, shows the agency's interest in unexplained aerial phenomena. Although no further evidence was available, firsthand accounts are valuable for understanding how sightings were recorded at the time.
