UFO seen by a girl in Saint-Romain-en-Gal

Summary

On the night of September 5, 1980, a girl in Saint-Romain-en-Gal got up to close a window in her room that had been opened by the wind. As she did, she spotted a luminous object about 100 meters from her home. The object was semi-rounded and emitted a very bright yellow-orange light. It hovered about 150 meters above the ground. On several occasions, the craft would partially turn off, leaving a light on at each end. The observation lasted about half an hour, with the object never touching the ground, until it finally disappeared. The girl saw it no more, and no other witnesses were reported, leaving the case with no further conclusive data.
