A driver in Le Loroux-Bottereau (France) observed three luminous points in the sky on October 31, 1980. These objects were at low altitude and moving in a northeast direction, seemingly following the vehicle. The witness noted that the points stopped when he did, without emitting any sound. Later, his wife also saw them from home until 7:30 AM. During the investigation, other witnesses confirmed having observed the same phenomenon. The analysis of the sky revealed that Venus, Jupiter, and Saturn were aligned near the eastern horizon. This conjunction would explain the appearance of luminous objects seen by the witnesses.
