On March 28, 1981, two people in Le Blanc-Mesnil (Seine-Saint-Denis) observed an object they initially mistook for a fireball. The object was moving at high speed along a northwest to northeast trajectory. They described it as circular, with a circumference of about 3 to 4 meters. Despite the clear description of its movement and appearance, no further details were gathered. This case was classified as "C" by the GEIPAN, indicating no conventional explanation was found.
