In November 1981, a witness in Feignies (France) observed an intense luminous phenomenon behind their home. The light lasted for about an hour, and when it turned off, the witness described a cigar-shaped object with varying colors. Later, the object swayed from side to side before stabilizing. The witness also mentioned an "orange corridor" of light and white traces in the sky. Despite the prolonged observation, no sound was heard. This case was initially classified as D, but after a more recent review, the GEIPAN reclassified it as A, concluding that it was likely agricultural machinery working at night in nearby fields. The explanation is based on the location, the beet harvesting season, and the characteristics of the light and movements described.
