Summary

In November 1981, several witnesses in Finistère observed a reddish ball that suddenly appeared above a field near an airport. The ball, the size of a soccer ball, remained still before disappearing silently. Two gendarmes also saw an orange glowing ball approaching the runway as if to land. As it descended, it appeared to grow in size. A firefighter alerted the control tower, but the object vanished instantly. No noise was heard and no traces were found in the field or on the runway. However, radar detected a spot between 7:50 and 8:04. The phenomenon remains unexplained.
