In January 1982, two French gendarmes on patrol along the A10 highway observed a strange light in the sky that illuminated the ground. The description of the bright mass and the focused lighting of the landscape generated interest and debate. Although several conventional explanations, such as airplanes or helicopters, were ruled out, the phenomenon remained unexplained. Further investigation, including contacts with the military base and the highway management company, revealed no activity that could explain the light. Although the hypothesis of a helicopter with a spotlight was proposed, weather and technical conditions did not support this idea.
