🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
On April 3, 1982, several people in La Réunion observed a slow-moving luminous phenomenon traveling along a north-south axis. The event was notable for its unusual color and trajectory. The director of the vulcanological observatory suggested it could be a natural object, such as a meteorite, or a human-made object, like a spacecraft component. Although not definitively identified, the sighting was recorded by the GEIPAN as a case of interest.
