A UFO case observed in 1982 in Essonne, France, was initially classified as D, but after a new analysis using modern tools and accumulated experience, it was determined to be an observation of the moon. A couple on their balcony saw a luminous object in orange, resembling a craft or airship. The observation lasted two minutes without any sound. The gendarmerie investigation found no additional data from air surveillance or fire departments. Although the witnesses did not recognize the moon, meteorological data and the object's position matched its location. The presence of clouds on the horizon, not mentioned by the witnesses, explained the gradual disappearance of the phenomenon. The lack of photographs and only two witnesses limited the case's consistency.
