During the nights of July 14 and 15, 1983, several witnesses in Avon (France) observed a bright white object moving slowly from west to east. Despite prolonged observation, its exact shape and size could not be determined. The investigation concluded that the object was likely Venus, which was particularly visible in that area during those dates. Astronomical data and the characteristics of the sightings support this explanation.
