Summary

In July 1983, two people in Saint-Pierre-de-Chartreuse suddenly woke up with the feeling of being observed. Looking up, they saw a silent, transparent, luminous ball the size of a basketball on the ceiling. The ball quickly moved through the room and exited through the open window. Although the report was written in 2013, it is considered accurate and consistent. An expert from the Lightning Laboratory suggested it could have been a ball lightning, a rare but plausible phenomenon under hot and charged weather conditions. However, the lack of an exact date and only one witness prevented confirmation of this hypothesis. Therefore, the case was classified as "C" by the GEIPAN.
