On November 1983, several witnesses in Moselle observed a luminous phenomenon in the sky. It was a ball the size of a football, orange in color, that crossed the sky silently, leaving behind a long colorful trail. The object was seen for a few seconds between 6 and 7 p.m. Although its appearance was unusual, researchers concluded it was likely an atmospheric entry. This case, classified as B by the GEIPAN, had no further complications or follow-up.
