Summary

In March 1985, a witness in Montpellier observed twice a particularly bright point in the sky. This object was moving slowly but steadily, which initially raised some curiosity. After investigation, experts concluded that it was the planet Venus, whose high brightness during that time of year made it especially visible. Although it initially appeared unusual, the phenomenon was entirely natural and explained by the astronomical position of Venus.
