🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
On November 16, 1985, a witness in Fresnes observed a curious aerial display from their apartment. They saw five white discs forming a circular dance about 2 kilometers away, over a 500-meter perimeter. The objects arranged themselves in a square around a central disc, which then grew larger and became intensely bright before the entire formation suddenly disappeared, without making any noise. Although the gendarmes did not investigate further, the description suggests a phenomenon such as a "sky rose," a laser light pattern in the sky.
This case, classified as B by the GEIPAN, stands out for the clarity and coherence of the account. Despite the lack of sound and the sudden disappearance, the testimony is detailed and precise. While other explanations cannot be ruled out, the description of the disc ballet and its luminous behavior points to an artificial phenomenon, possibly experimental or for entertainment.
