On the evening of December 2, 1985, several witnesses in Villers Bocage heard a loud noise and went outside to investigate. They saw a flying object with red lights at the front and back, and bright lights in the center. The object passed slowly over the neighborhood and gradually disappeared. The investigation suggested the possibility of a "Transal" type aircraft flying in the area at that time.
