🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
On August 17, 1988, several witnesses in Brignoles (France) observed a luminous object in the sky. At 10:30 PM, an orange ball was briefly seen, followed by a bluish light. Descriptions varied somewhat, especially regarding the object's speed. Although some thought it could be the moon, investigators concluded it was likely an atmospheric entry. This case, classified as B by the GEIPAN, was not considered particularly significant, but remains an interesting example of a nighttime sighting.
