Silent round object over a field in France

Summary

On December 16, 1988, in the Cambrai region, a student observed from her car a silent, round object hovering about 20 meters above a field. The object had between 4 and 6 bright lights on its lower part. At the same time, a nearby house, apparently abandoned, showed interior light. The observation lasted about a minute, during which the witness did not dare to stop. After the investigation, it was discovered that the light in the house was due to military personnel using the farm for maneuvers, but the aerial object could not be identified and remains unexplained.
