In January 1989, in the French region of Creuse, an unusual aerial phenomenon caught the attention of local authorities. On January 28, around 8:30 PM, the gendarmerie of Guret asked all its brigades to look toward the eastern sky. Bright points of changing colors were reported and observed for several consecutive nights. Although initially intriguing, it was determined that the phenomenon was caused by favorable meteorological conditions that made stars shine unusually. This case was classified as "A" by the GEIPAN, indicating it was not considered an unexplained phenomenon.
