Summary

In 1990, a 10-year-old boy observed a phenomenon in the night sky over the Vendée region. From the entrance of his tent, he saw three white lights outlining a large, opaque triangular shape. The object moved silently and very slowly above the village, following a straight trajectory. The boy, impressed, noticed that the main triangle seemed to be composed of smaller triangles. His friend didn’t have time to see it. The testimony, the only one collected, was reported 18 years later, in 2008, without precise details about the date or time. Due to this lack of information, the GEIPAN could not investigate or link it to other similar cases.

The case was classified as "C" for lack of information. Although the testimony describes a clear experience, the absence of specific details such as the exact date or precise location of the event limited any serious analysis. The GEIPAN acknowledges that, without more details, it is impossible to determine whether the observed phenomenon was an unidentified object or a natural or artificial phenomenon. This case illustrates how the lack of detailed information can hinder a deeper evaluation of a UFO sighting.
