On September 26, 1990, a woman in the Nord region of France was watching television when she noticed a glowing ball through her window. Alarmed and curious, she called two neighbors who also witnessed the phenomenon. The ball ascended and then descended to hover above a tree, at which point it became extremely bright, illuminating the entire area and blinding the witnesses. The event lasted between 5 and 6 minutes, and no clear explanation was found for what had occurred.
This case, classified as "D" by the GEIPAN (Group for the Study of Unidentified Aerial Phenomena), stands out for the consistency of the observations and the lack of a conventional cause. The witnesses provided matching descriptions, adding credibility to the account. Despite analysis attempts, the phenomenon remains unexplained, fueling curiosity about the unaccountable in the sky.
