UFO lights seen in Ardèche in 1992

Summary

On October 18, 1992, around 10:00 PM, a couple in a car observed blinking lights in the sky. Initially, they saw one light, then another, both stationary, orange with a white glow, and rotating counterclockwise. Below the lights, a dark shape was visible. After about ten minutes, the lights slowly moved away. Although no sound was heard, investigators concluded it was likely the couple had seen the lights of two helicopters in hover before they departed. This case was classified as "B" by the GEIPAN, indicating a plausible but not fully confirmed explanation.
