Chateau d'Oleron 1992, Observation of luminous shapes

Summary

On December 9, 1992, a police officer and his wife witnessed an unusual luminous phenomenon near Château d'Oleron. They saw between 5 and 6 illuminated rectangles aligned, with two very intense blue flashes at each end. The event lasted only a few seconds, but it was enough for the officer to brake his vehicle and another car following him also slowed down, although this second vehicle could not be located afterward. Despite the clear description of the phenomenon, no conventional explanation was found for what was observed.
