🇫🇷 GEIPAN / CNES
In March 1993, a witness in Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie observed a luminous phenomenon described as two teardrops placed head to toe. Although the testimony was detailed and consistent, the GEIPAN reexamined the case using modern tools and accumulated experience. They concluded that the observed object was actually the Moon, partially hidden by clouds. The witness's description matched the variable appearance of the Moon under cloudy conditions. The current classification of the case is PAN A, indicating no unexplained elements after analysis.
