Summary

A UFO case in Pantin, France, from 1993, was re-examined by the GEIPAN. A witness observed from her balcony a rectangular orange shape in the sky. The object remained stationary for 15 minutes, then moved slowly and disappeared. No sound was heard, but a flashing red light was noted. Later, at 4:30 AM, the witness saw a second object, this time circular and white, which remained visible for hours until it slowly disappeared. The GEIPAN concluded it was likely the landing lights of an aircraft during a night landing. The distance and the witness's lack of astronomical experience led to confusion. The final classification of the case was B, meaning a probable aircraft sighting.
