On July 2, 1993, two witnesses in Avignon observed two V-shaped formations made of white glowing balls. The objects remained stationary for a few seconds before disappearing at high speed. The witnesses' spouses confirmed the sighting, and no noise was heard. The weather was clear, and the phenomenon lasted about ten seconds. Initially classified as case D, it was re-examined in 2009 and compared to similar sightings, including one of the Patrouille de France flight. It was finally classified as case A, considered an unresolved UFO event.
