On August 8, 1993, witnesses in Moselle observed a spherical light roughly the size of a hot-air balloon. The event occurred at 10 p.m. and lasted about 30 seconds, after which the object vanished with a sharp whistling sound. Despite the clear description of the event, no additional information was collected. Classified as C by the GEIPAN, this case adds another mystery to the long list of unexplained aerial phenomena. The brevity of the event and lack of further details make any conclusive interpretation difficult.
