In August 1993, three witnesses in Haute-Garonne observed a red, stationary luminous object near Mont Valier. One of them used binoculars and noticed five bright points within the object. The descriptions agree that the phenomenon disappeared within seconds after remaining for about ten minutes. Although initially classified as unexplained, the GEIPAN re-examined the case with new tools and experience. The testimonies suggest the phenomenon could have been on the ground, but there are contradictions in the directions and movements described. The confusion between geographical reference points adds complexity to the analysis.
