Summary

On August 19, 1993, around 6 a.m., the gendarmes received several calls reporting a very loud and unusual noise, a bright light, and an explosion. Witnesses described an extraordinary experience that generated curiosity and concern in the Gard area of France. Although the on-site investigation found no concrete evidence, it was considered likely that the event was caused by an aircraft flying at low altitude. This case, classified as B by the GEIPAN, remains an unresolved mystery.
