Summary

In September 1993, four people in a car in Villers Bocage observed a bright orange object moving silently across the sky. The object, larger than a star, approached like an airplane but suddenly changed shape, becoming elongated like a diamond or a cigar. The event lasted between 2 and 3 minutes, with no sound detected. The witnesses could not obtain further information, but their testimony was recorded by the GEIPAN.

The case was classified as "C" by the GEIPAN, indicating no conventional explanation was found. Despite the simplicity of the account, the object's shape change and lack of noise are intriguing. This brief event adds another piece to the puzzle of unexplained aerial phenomena.
