In September 1993, in Bourgneuf en Retz, several witnesses observed a formation of luminous points rotating in the sky, forming an indistinct shape. On the night of September 11 to 12, the phenomenon sparked curiosity and mystery among locals. After an investigation, authorities concluded that the lights were likely from a nearby nightclub. Although initially thought to be a UFO case, the terrestrial explanation proved most plausible. Classified as B by the GEIPAN, this case illustrates how artificial lights can easily be mistaken for unidentified objects.
