On November 26, 1993, between 7:15 and 8:15 AM, a witness in Saint-Sauveur-de-Montagut observed a yellow ball that seemed to be burning for almost an hour. After that time, the ball quickly disappeared, leaving behind a black trail. Investigators were unable to identify the object as a civilian or military aircraft, nor as a balloon. The phenomenon remains unexplained. Despite the duration and clarity of the observation, no conclusive clues about the nature of the object were found. This case, classified as "unexplained" by the GEIPAN, remains a mystery in the French database of unidentified aerial phenomena.
