In March 1994, several witnesses in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence region saw a bright yellow ball pass quickly through the sky. Although initially attention-grabbing due to its brightness and speed, investigators concluded it was a natural phenomenon. The description provided by witnesses, along with the behavior of the light, pointed to an atmospheric entry, such as a meteor. There were no signs of a craft or unidentified activity.
