In August 1994, a group of people in Lacanau, France, witnessed an unusual aerial phenomenon. While walking near the sea, one of them noticed a dark mass hovering in the air. Soon after, they observed a huge triangular shape with irregular lights on two of its sides. Two children also saw the object, which rotated silently before disappearing toward the southeast. The witness sketched the event in a drawing notebook, but no other testimonies or investigations were possible.
The account reached the GEIPAN many years later, in 2008. Although the testimony includes a drawing from the observer, there is no additional information or evidence available. The case was classified as "C," meaning it could not be confirmed or rejected. Despite the brief sighting, the detailed description and the drawing provide a unique visual clue of an unidentified object. The silent nature and triangular shape of the phenomenon remain an unsolved mystery.
